It was a trial and error process before it got right. The chutes aren't that easy to separate, but a few pulls and they gradually separate. Attaching them to the pole was easy, but I had to attach a piece of wood to the back of the box to secure the slides. I found out about this after a few slides came loose from the box. Well lesson learned and if I decide to replace the wooden rails with ball bearings like this I will be using them again.
