This is a great radio at a great price. It's barebones, but that's the point. I use this radio while running or walking. In the last 15 years I have tried different radios. If you've seen my marathon photos, I wear the headset around my neck. A traditional radio like the SF-59 works best. I tried digital radio. Batteries last about an hour and are short-lived. Here are the pros: * Low price; * Fits perfectly on a belt or trouser pocket despite its size; * Very good belt clip; * Good reception for medium multi-gyms. ; and * durable; there are disadvantages: * the battery fails; this was an issue with the last two players I had; * Dials move slightly; I use triple tape to extend the inlet; simply locking the tone and station (dial) potentiometer would solve this problem; it jams when adjusting the volume control, reduces the volume, then it screams in my ear, then it goes off again;* poor reception with medium-strong stations due to interference from strong stations. However, in general the standards must be quite low, this radio is a success in its market. It should be better because it represents Sony, a good name.
