I had no idea finding a truly great sounding wireless microphone system would be such an ordeal. I bought a Sokani and my experience with it and my camera was frustrating until I figured out how to get it working with my Panasonic Lumix DMC G7. Basically, I learned how to use the onboard mic controls to bring levels down to the lowest possible level, and to work with the really weird Sokani DB volume and volume controls that inexplicably exist on BOTH the receiver and transmitter ( WHY BOTH?). In my frustration I bought a RODE GO. II, and what a nightmare it turned into. First entry out of the box, there's LOUD RFI which completely ruins everything. The sound other than THIS was really GOOD but useless with a buzz. I bought a Rode Go lavalier microphone from him, a really great microphone. After 7 hours of trying to get off the high I finally found Rode's phone number and called her. The guy was very nice and totally honest, told me that the Go II has a really strong signal and it's hitting my camera and nothing can be done about it. sent back. Came across a youtube video about the Hollyland Lark 150 and it seems like more pros are using it instead of the Rode hmmm. Bottom line is what the guy said, buy a Lark 150 and use a Rode GO Lavalier mic. I just did my first test and WOW! It's identical to the sound quality of Rode with their mic and Lark 150. The sound of my voice is broadcast quality, really good bass quality and I can FINALLY focus on my video production and not have to fiddle around to get a good sound with no buzz to get. . Great product, VERY easy to use, WORKS AND SOUNDS GREAT!
