Review on PETZL Aquila Climbing Harness Black by Evan Zurlo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good harness but uncomfortable for my body (YMMV)

Pros: light, well constructed, attractive, lots of adjustments Cons: gear loop placement too far back, leg loops incredibly strong and comfortable to dig in when hanging, no level of adjustment allowed the leg loops to fit properly or comfortably. I'm one of those disproportionate people who rarely fit standard sizes. I'm at the top of what the plus size fits for waist measurements, but no amount of adjustment can get the leg loops to sit snugly on my hips. The harness is comfortable at rest, but the rigidity of the leg loops haunts me. Hanging in that harness for a while hurts below the hips, but I'll also blame my body shape, although YMMV (your mileage may vary). And the last sucker: the color of this pendant isn't right. grey-brown in the Revain photo. It's more of a purplish grey. That wasn't an obstacle for me, but I know some people who wouldn't like purple tones in their gear.
