Review on πŸ”Š Audio Cue Lever by U-Turn by Chris Lapan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That little thing you didn't think you needed until you got it!

I really put off buying a $40 cue. i am stable I can drop a pin with the best of 'em, right? Well basically. Until you do it a few times. And then you just buy it for your spread. Spending $40 on this little device seems crazy. But it's worth it, funnily enough. Just be aware that placing your pen where it belongs, not just nearby, may damage the pen and/or writing over time. It couldn't be easier to install. There's a short video on the U-Turn website and it's as easy as it sounds. You just stick it in and it seems like it's always been there. The tonearm descends nice and slowly. I'm assuming it just works by rubbing it with some lube in the device. (I can only guess). But he doesn't just give up. It needs time. And that's good. I can't believe I spent money on this. But now I'm very glad I did. Of course, U-Turn could have included this as part of my Orbit Plus for starters. But then it would only be $40 more, right? :) I definitely recommend it. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • unreliable

Sometimes, at the end of the record, the tonearm falls on to the label when raising the lever
