I wouldn't call these wipes all purpose wipes. They are definitely easy to use and not used for actual cleaning. You need a place to hang them to dry (after rinsing) between spills. gets ugly. After drying, they are smooth and perfectly absorb moisture. When wet, they are soft and limp, like very thin cloth diaper material. Too soft to rub so if you're used to paper towels this isn't it. You can use them like smooth cotton tea towels in the kitchen to soak up spills. Although they are much more absorbent. They pick up crumbs/coffee grounds when they're already damp and shake them into the bin fairly easily. I love them as I use them exclusively for wet stains like coffee, water, juice and catching water from dishwashing (air dryer). I still prefer paper or sponge for grease stains because it's easier to throw out paper or hand wash a durable sponge than hand wash these towels. I've noticed that after machine washing, people say they're full of holes. They are not woven like cloth. Any type of repetitive stress (such as brushing or mechanical agitation) creates a hole. The pouch that comes with the kit is designed for 10-15 napkins only. Otherwise they cannot move freely enough to be really clean. I pretty much immediately rinse/wash them in the sink like a regular cloth, hang them to dry, then run the pile through the machine on a gentle cycle to sanitize.
