While I like Oofos sandals as the soft sole is very comfortable and these shoes offer that, unfortunately the heel area is very problematic and uncomfortable with this style of shoe. The design is absolutely bad as there are several areas that rub against the back of the heel. For some reason the shoes have a light green tongue on the heel, maybe for decoration? This flap is completely open and creates grinding edges on the sides and bottom. The heel also has a leather-like insert that rises only about 3/4 of the heel height and whose upper edge rolls down slightly to form another abrasion point. For the price it is really very unsatisfactory to have these problems, definitely not recommended, especially for people with diabetes! The shoes are also quite small, I usually take a 9 and I needed a 10. I called the company to let them know about the heel issues and they told me I need a size up, seriously, no way I would do tripping over shoes. Finger! You should retire with comfort, never seen a shoe with such a bulky heel! Also, there is an elastic band around the front of the shoe, is that for style? All I know is that a rubber band does the same thing as a rubber band, SLAP! What were they thinking? After a few hours in shoes it was terribly uncomfortable! I really cut it! For the heel area, I placed felt metatarsal pads wide side up to cover any rough spots. The shoes are great now. Seriously given the price it's crazy what I had to do with these shoes to make them fit me!
