Watch this REQUIRED YouTube video on how to install them first: [.] The video is extremely helpful but not perfect. I realized I need the following additional information: 1. The guy in the video tells us to use a 1/8th bit - use it to pre-drill small holes for the screws. The packaging instructions don't say or suggest this, but I think it's important.2. Looking at the template it couldn't be more confusing - I finally realized that the NUMBERS in the template are trying to show us the sequence of steps. So you'll see that the first step that says "OPEN" is on the same page as the "DO NOT RIP" statement, as far as that's clear! !*&^! However, if you fold the template very carefully you will see that there are two separate pieces and the TOP piece (marked 1) can actually be removed without losing the bottom piece (numbered five and six). . The guy in the video goes through it like it's obvious and doesn't show you how he does it. The + sign indicates the actual height of the screw holes. IMPORTANT: When I carefully compared my actual template to the actual lock, the + mark moved a bit, so you should use a pencil to mark the template where the holes appear in the actual lock before you start drilling. You will see the number five in six places - so my translation is that when you get to the fifth step you need to pre-drill FOUR holes, two of which are marked +, actually optional depending on the best position in your closet 4 Drill Bit Question – Others have stressed the importance of using the correct size drill bit for the main lock magnet. The packaging says 9/32 or 7mm. For some reason I have three complete sets of drill bits with a maximum size of 6.5mm, so I used them successfully. I highly recommend using a plastic sleeve over the drill bit and taping it in place to avoid over drilling - as another reviewer mentioned you need to drill within 1/8" for the magnet to work. I had no problems because I was warned by this review. Drilling in tight spots is also a bit tricky, so install it at a time when you can work cleanly and uninterrupted. Thank you to everyone who gave me the confidence to try this - it's pretty easy if you work carefully and I'm very happy with the end result.A
