For a "cool" and "manly" device for men this could be more thought out to hold large soaps. The bottom is curved so large blocks of soap will not fit underneath unless the metal is inserted at the edge of the soap rather than the middle. This means that when your soap wears out, it will expose the metal and you will have to move it again. A simple, flat soap dish would mitigate this problem and look a lot better too.
