Concerned that he would not survive the transit. I shouldn't have because it arrived in better condition than the finish I bought from the local sawmill. I painted it with a bit of paint, applied two coats of polyurethane, drilled another hole to attach it (I had to trim six inches) and I was done. No, I can't hoover it from room to room, but I don't care because it looks so much better than the gold gingham trim that was there before.
