Pros: between my teeth are so tight I can floss straight in with any other brand but then I have to pull it out sideways so I don't pull out the stuffing if I try to pull it out the way it came in). So it's amazing that I can get this thinner thread out of the tightest of spots with no worries. 55 yards, POH - 100 yards) > "Closed" design makes it cleaner and drier than my box style reach container (I never close the reach lid to avoid splashing water into the container's large holes in the filament too Cons: > A little difficult to grab the floss every time to start it - it's a fairly scholarly short length of floss that sits flush against the container wall where it exits and fits the cutting edge - it is hard to get my fingernail under it and loosen it up so I can start over bit by bit. I mean it's not impossible, but it's just a little bit more complicated than the Johnson and Johnson Reach thread I've been using for years. If I continually wrap the floss around my fingers to move on to a new section (for example, when I reuse a section between multiple teeth), it loosens up enough to fray, pass between my sharp, narrow gaps, and then 1 up to 2 inches of fine silk dental floss gets stuck and gets wedged between some of my more clenched teeth - which is hard to hold to pull them out - sometimes I have to use tweezers to get a slippery thin thread to pull them out (some of my teeth are very firm). While "Reach" wears out and all, it doesn't leave strands so thin that they're difficult to grip between my clenched teeth. I really dislike having to keep wrapping more and more POH thread around my finger as I move the full length because at the end of the "receiving" finger there is so much thread wrapped around it that my poor finger feels so feels - here to explode. > Because it's so thin and smooth, and I'd even say slippery (although it's not waxed), I don't feel like it has as many 'scratchy' edges as that Reach to scrape the buildup. each tooth - I have found that I have to go up and down between each tooth 4-5 times until it is slippery and apply a little more pressure compared to using unwaxed reach which is harder and rougher on the edge to the touch and only takes 1-2 passes to feel that the tooth is plaque free. This is of course also the reason why I will never use waxed dental floss or ultra-smooth dental tapes like "Glide".
