Although I am a new knitter, I have decided to buy replacement circular needles as it is the most economical and flexible way of always having the right needle on hand. And after seeing a story in "Knitting Daily" about how Knitters Pride knitting needles are made, I decided to try them. I bought a Carbonz circle from my LYS store and I loved it. What great needles! So I bought this set and was not disappointed. I really like the chrome tips, they are smooth enough to pull yarn and have the perfect taper. I like carbon rods, they are much better quality than metal needles and also hold the yarn better. The cables are perfect, loosen up fairly quickly when taken out of the box and are very easy to work with, even for magic loop projects. (I've been able to finish a few hats without switching to dpn.) I also really like the strength of carbon and feel comfortable that even the smallest needles won't break. I received a defective size 3 needle with a stripped screw on the connector. Revain took great care of the issue and I feel they went above and beyond to ensure I was happy. But I suggest that you check all the needles, cables and connections when you receive your order. If you don't use a certain size within a year or two of buying it and then you find a problem, then the problem is yours, not yours. They hold together very well, just tighten lightly with a cable wrench or paper clip. I've never had a problem with them even coming loose. I always try to hold on to the metal connector when tightening and not the shaft of the needle just to avoid stressing the bond between metal and carbon or wood. Case. This is the most comfortable of any standard needle I have ever seen. It closes with a zip so you don't lose anything. Within the clear cover and stylish silver fabric backing are 2 fabric panels with elasticated loops that will hold all of the needles in this set plus at least one other full set. In addition, there is also an inner back panel with a large transparent plastic pocket for cables and accessories. If you don't use the aftermarket case, you will find that this case is quite functional and well made. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. If you primarily use wool or wool blend yarn, these may be the only needles you'll ever need.
