Great product! I am epilating for the first time and have thick dark hair. Here are my tips to make your first time pain free: - USE THE MASSAGE HEAD and don't be afraid to press it firmly against the skin (while the light is still green of course!) - For areas with thick hair: best performed under warm running water - for areas with FINE hair: Unfortunately, the device cannot handle fine hair underwater, so use it dry. Don't forget to press hard! - ALWAYS epilate IN THE DIRECTION OF HAIR GROWTH. Unlike waxing, shaving, etc., epilation is less painful if you follow the direction of hair growth - NEVER OPPOSITE THE DIRECTION OF HAIR GROWTH. It hurts like hell and causes damage - wash and lotion before each session - for sensitive areas I recommend using a razor head. I have used this product on my entire face, arms and legs. The pain wasn't too bad. If you follow my advice, it won't be any more painful than waxing. I promise! I love how this device makes it easy and convenient for me to have a hairless body. It also has a razor to use if waxing is too scary :)
