Weeks of torture. Naked, intensely disassemble my computer and swap parts. Convinced that the machine is not POST. I sent the board back. I want everyone to know that I solved it. I found out why this board has so many reviews saying it is "dead on arrival", "DOA", or "black screen". I returned two boards. The third board did the same. It will not be published. It wouldn't show anything at all! Not even a BIOS. I haven't given up. I tried to FIND the problem. I'm here to let everyone know. This board is safe to buy. If you are having the dreaded black screen issue THEN USE A DISPLAYPORT CABLE. YES SIR. DISCONNECT THE DISPLAYPORT CABLE AND USE HDMI OR DVI! That works immediately. The display port cable and monitor/display can then be plugged in, it just doesn't show anything on first boot (or any later boot after hardware changes or CMOS battery reset). So if you bought this board and it won't boot - STOP USING THE DISPLAY PORT DEVICE! Disable it and use an HDMI or DVI cable and it will work! If not, remove the CMOS battery and then try without the Displayport battery! A few other harrowing scenarios I've encountered with this board. - Won't your RAM work at any speed? Can't find your XMP profile setting? Do not worry. Go to BIOS, Advanced Mode, AI Tweaker and enable DOCP, then reboot. Go back and manually set the RAM to your desired speed and fclk (mine is 3200mhz and 1600 fclk) - doesn't it boot or doesn't see your boot devices? Go to the area that says "Secure Boot" and click on the options above it. change it to ON. I forgot the name. But it's on the same screen. It will then read all your boot devices. Something with legacy and UEFI devices or something. I will continue to update this review as I get more details. I am NOT giving up on this board. It's annoying, but it's also the cheapest x570 and those reviews about it dying on arrival aren't true! THIS IS A FIRST BOOT PROBLEM WITH THE DISPLAY PORT CABLE! DISCONNECT IT AND IT WILL WORK! THEN YOU CAN CONNECT IT BACKUP! Also, the board tries to charge my AMD Ryzen 3600x to 1.45V - which is ridiculous. Manually set it to 1.25-1.35 depending on the cooler and manually set the CPU frequency between 4.0GHz and 4.5GHz depending on the cooler. - Random Internet StrangerUpdate: On November 19th the board went back to its bullshit and the steps above are no longer saving it. . It has done this at least 3 more times since April, taking insane hours of troubleshooting to get it working again. I have contacted Asus Support and have been informed that this item is not a suitable RMA replacement. 1 year is good. They'll just let you send it in for "fixing" with a series of threats from their customer support chat, like sending it back unrepaired after a long list of toxic criteria. Dude, Asus, this is a warranty case. Their crappy product died twice in 6 months. It's all over the internet. This fee should be avoided. I've been building PCs for over 20 years and have rocked Asus since day one. It changes tonight. Absolutely sorry. Pathetic advice, pathetic customer service. It's really sad that such a wonderful company is like this.
