So, after 12 hours of normal work on a Pentium MMX 200 while installing Windows 98SE, the adapter caught fire and blocked the PC. I've listed a photo showing the tracks coming loose after being set on fire. It was wonderful and scary. It's still figuring out if the item didn't damage anything else, but I think it destroyed my SCSI card for my Jaz 1GB drive as Grappler no longer shows up in the BIOS and the SCSI circuit activity indicator just stays on with no sign of it. that the card works again. Even switched to another PCI slot. In general it worked initially but I suspect there might be a problem with the pins soldering as I can see that a solder bridge has been created between the + and - pins that power the CF card. However, the CF card continues to work without any problems as used in the USB adapter. So check yours for soldering problems
