good news/bad news.

good news/bad news. I bought it about six weeks ago. I'll compare it to the Instant Pot because I've had both. The good news is that this computer is simpler, which I really liked. For me, who always finds it difficult to understand the instructions, the simplicity of the buttons made it easy to start cooking right away. The food was fantastic. When asked, it is claimed that it is a stainless steel pan. Well it's outside. But the offal that comes into contact with your food - no. The inner pot is a very light teflon coated pot. I don't want Teflon. Better stainless steel. The top cover appears to be aluminum. Both Teflon and aluminum have a negative effect on our bodies. Also, the floating vent (not the outlet but the vent in the handle) fell out after a month of use, and no matter how hard my husband and I tried we couldn't get it to stay in. So instead of a pressure cooker, all the steam came out of a hole in the handle. The liquid in it evaporates. The food was burned, the meat was tough. I threw it away a few days ago, got an Instant Pot that is much more solidly made. The inner pot and the inner lid of the Instant Pot are made of stainless steel. However, I will say that I find the Instant Pot more difficult to work with. That's it, my opinion on two pots. However, I will say this. Now I will never be without an electric pressure cooker because the food is so delicious!
