This was not a basic blade I had seen before. It has a pretty ingenious blade changing mechanism and I already had 100 blades. Without my wife, however, I would not have figured out how to use my first blade so quickly. Each blade is similar to a feather blade, very thin and therefore almost flexible. I have registered this product and I expect to receive 100 more once I complete this review. So if it is important to someone reading this review I will update and confirm if it has arrived. We continue. I watched a few YouTube videos (multiple times each) and was pretty confident about getting started. However, this blade does not look like what I imagined. I have medium sized hands, quite small compared to most people I've met in my life, but I still found this blade difficult to hold comfortably whether held between four fingers or three. The first time I shaved with it I got some irritation on my cheeks and some very small cuts, not much to complain about. I almost always shave in the shower so I guess my skin isn't used to "dry shaving" although I do keep my face as wet as possible and apply shaving cream liberally. I really tried to freak out but it was almost impossible and I just gave up. This made me think that some people just won't pull it off depending on how many nape wrinkles they have despite holding the skin taut to make shaving easier. The second time I shaved with it was better but it was still discouraging. and left me wondering if the results are really worth it. make no mistake The blades are super sharp. I have a feeling it will pierce my skin if I don't hold it at the "ideal" 30° angle, so I'll stop and try again. It's just that I usually shave with Harry's razor blade and then go against the grain to get a really smooth face. I can't make it plain and simple with this blade, so it takes longer for results that don't seem as good as Harry's. I really want to love this product. I still think it's a well designed product after the learning curve, but for now I'm trying to use it on my face and it accentuates my beard nicely. I use Harry to make my neck. At the moment I just don't know if there are "safe blades" like Harry's because using a straight blade is much less effective or it takes time and skill to get a reasonably smooth face that only a razor can can reach. Anyway I don't think this product is for beginners unless you really want to be very careful and dedicate yourself to learning how to use a straight blade.
