I already had a TP-Link powerline extender, but we had an old, outdated wireless router from another brand, and our two desktop Macs and my iPad wouldn't load pages though they have indicated that they are connected to the Internet. Since the technicians at TP-Link were very helpful in setting up my powerline extender, I decided to buy one of their routers, thinking that a modern router would probably solve my problems. However, I was afraid to plug it in - I expected that I would have to spend a lot of time figuring out the settings on my computer to get it working and that I would run into problems. I couldn't be more wrong. I called their technicians to walk me through the entire process. Basically, it went like this: Disconnect the modem's Ethernet cable from the old router. Connect the new TP-Link router's Ethernet cable to the jack labeled "Internet". Disconnect the computer's Ethernet cable from the old router. TP-Link router to one of four numbered device outlets. Plug the TP-Link router's power adapter into the extension cable, and then connect it to the router. Open a browser on your computer and it worked great. make sure that all my devices work properly with almost no effort. Why have I waited weeks to spend a lousy $59.98 on this amazing device?
