This is a well made adapter. I'm using it to update a 1940's Western Flyer. Some additions to previous comments. Definitely a good fit - it takes a 2lb hammer with a block of wood to set the threaded side in. And then it's important to line up the screws on the unthreaded side before trying to tighten them. I had a large C-clamp that I used to insert an unthreaded piece with one of the loose threaded bolts so I wouldn't get out of alignment when sitting. The big problem I had with this old bike was that only one of the bolts could cross. unhindered. No matter how I put the holes, there was always tubing or excess metal getting in the way to prevent other screws from reading the other side. So I was forced to drill the remaining holes. For the bottom bracket I found a Shimano BB-UN55 68x113 but 68x110 would be perfect for this particular bike. The hardware is definitely high-quality - but there are absolutely no instructions, so you are completely on your own with the details. It has the letters "L" and "R" so you know which side the pieces are coming from - that's it. So 4 and not 5 stars.
