I'm getting old and my keys are getting lost if I'm not looking. So this key safe helps me organize and keep track of my keys. I try to ALWAYS put my keys in the safe when I get home. This way I know where they are when I need to use them. I hung the safe key on the closet wall behind the hanging clothes. I have a lot of keys and when I got this key safe I also bought some of these plastic inlay tags, key fobs and labeled ALL my keys, original and spare. I put a stack of keys I couldn't identify on keyrings marked "Unknown" so I know which keys to try if I find a lock I don't have a key for. I'm lucky enough to be able to travel several months out of the year and when I go I take the keys I need for the trip (truck, RV, small locks) and lock the rest in a key safe. I then hide the key somewhere I can remember (I also leave a note for myself in the travel safe to remind me where I hid the key). That way I know that if someone breaks into my house, they can't just escape with my other treasures. This safe is expensive but very useful and worth every penny in terms of intelligence and frustration relief.
