I received this vinyl with a military style PC case. I used vinyl to match the color of the drives and fan controls to the rest of the case. The material is easy to cut, apply and with a hair dryer it is very easy to get unusual shapes and angles. The only difficult part of the digging process wasn't the vinyl, but rather taking apart the fan controller to dress the front panel in matte military green. Anyone experienced with vinyl candidates should have no problem customizing their items with vinyl. Vinyl is automotive grade and will work on almost any hard surface. Vinyl adheres well to painted and unpainted metal surfaces, as well as plastic surfaces. The material is also quite thin so it's great not to increase the thickness of parts that might fit well. maybe a transparent coat.
