I met my expectations based on the price and was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I love kite flying in the spring and fall, but we don't usually expect our purchases to last after each kite season. I think that will help and we were able to buy them together and save a few bucks in the process. Another review noted that they are plastic. To clarify - the supports are made of plastic. The kites themselves are material. I think nylon or something. They are more durable than those we have bought in the past. These aren't heavy-duty materials though, so I don't expect them to last any longer than some of the plastic models we've used before. The material offers good color representation when flying in the sky. They are a good size so you can easily get off the ground and move around. I usually have problems with kites of this shape when they try to nose dive when trying to launch. The tails seem to provide stability to prevent this for the most part. The reel they come with is enough to get you started, but we'll move on to a stronger, longer line before we take our first real flight. The hardest part will be keeping the propellers intact between flights as these are the points that seem to be the most fragile.
