I’m upgrading from a traditional knife blocks and this one takes up much less space and it’s easier to put back the knifes. There are two slots front and back for knife storage. It sticks to the center block as soon as it slides in. There is also a chopping board holder on the side. The thing I like about this style is that your blade are not scrapping against the wood on its way down. I noticed my knifes gets dull over time since it’s always slicing the side of the wood when I put it back. This one there’s nothing touching the sharp edge. It’s only attaching to the side. It looks great and my mother in law wants one now.
