My daughter needed underwear for all the time outdoors that her school added this winter due to COVID. She also needed clothes that would keep her warm in her classroom, where all the windows are open even on 20-degree days. It was perfect! They're thin enough to wear under leggings and shirts, but thick enough to keep you warm. They are so soft and warm - she loves them. I need a few more sets so she can wear them every day this winter. She is approximately 4ft 6in, weighs 55lbs, is 8 years old and wears a medium size. She's tall and fairly slim, and they fit her well, just like base layers should.
