*Double ball bearings* High speed* 5V Ok they are very loud at 5V, less at 3.3V but the airflow is amazing. I also bought the larger 5010 a few weeks ago and find the 4010 louder. In any case, since they have double ball bearings and a high-speed model, they must be noisy. So I connect it to 3.3V in the ice tower cooler in my Raspberry Pi. It cools a lot more than the standard colored fan that comes with the Ice Tower, which I'm assuming is sleeve bearing. And journal bearings die quickly and suddenly. I'm using a script to turn the fan on and off based on temperature to extend the lifespan of the fan. But I will update this review when the fan dies.
