not safe for birds best in cages and supplies

There is tape at the end of each rope that cannot be removed. It appears to have been used to prevent the ends of the rope from splintering until plugs could be attached to the rope. Removing the tape means removing the end caps that are probably stuck there so you can't put them back together without going out and buying some superglue. My birds will definitely eat the tape (birds do!) and possibly ingest it, so it's not a safe product. I will have to return it.
