I built a custom kitchen wall cabinet, with a pop out granite covered shelf just under the microwave oven, and I needed something to keep the shelf flush, but still be able to make it pop out. I installed one of these latches, and with a slight touch, the shelf pops out about 3 inches. Now I can pull the shelf out the full 12 inches, and when done, with a slight touch, the latch locks in the closed position, and keeps the shelf closed ready for the next time the shelf is needed. Works great.
- These worked perfectly for my cabinets and seem to be very sturdy construction.
- Installation may cause damage to the cabinet or door if not done carefully
