Any bargain hunter knows that buying an unverified item at a discount usually doesn't work; this time it worked. The vacuum cleaner is decent; about on par with my Bissell PowerEdge, maybe a little weaker due to the shape of the Bissell head which 'increases' suction at the edges. However, it easily picks up dog hair, grit and dust. The steam function is great; heats up quickly and lasts a long time. I was able to do 1000 square feet with multiple passes in some areas without going through the tank. The only thing I have is that the steam generator pad sometimes comes off during cleaning; It's only mentioned because it's a bit annoying to have to shut down the entire unit, remove the gasket mounting plate and reinstall the gasket, and then keep cleaning. Not critical, but something to be aware of. I don't mind sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping the floors traditionally, but doing all of those things at the same time seems to have reduced the need for so many deep cleans.
