I love this poker set! The chips were a hit on the big night of poker. After reading all the reviews about the weakness of the case, I decided to create my own using this as a template. The chips are heavy and I could definitely see how the case would struggle to hold it all. I tried taking it apart but it looks like the manufacturer read these comments and put everything together nicely. The handle is screwed and glued to the base. It can be removed, but not without destroying the handle. The bond where these two materials meet is as strong as you will ever get this material. But it's still plastic. I made mine out of 1/8" steel and assembled everything. Now it's not going anywhere and easily withstands the weight of poker chips. No problem with falling or lost chip stickers. Mine was just the way it was. I hope the stickers are perfectly inserted into the chip so you can't feel the edges Very well made and I would happily buy them again.
