Review on Colorbok Thimble Finger Pad: 1 Pack of Beige Comfort for Easy Sewing by Barbara Simmons

Works well for thimbles

I bought these years ago when I was embroidering to protect my fingers from the needles I was always poking into leather. Back then, I found that the best way to use them was not to expect them to "fit" my fingers, just sit on the skin where I wanted to deflect the needle. Although I sometimes noticed them sticking to my quilted linen or clothing, I was happy with them at the time. Fast forward a few decades and they were the first thing I thought of when I needed something to protect a broken nail. I've searched the whole internet and found nothing suitable. I remembered these little fellas, I bought a pack and now I use them "off label" and trim them, with a bandage to protect the crack until the nail grows. I would prefer to use them for quilting though.
