I cut all my hair and needed a smaller flat iron. I bought a 1 inch elsewhere and it was terrible. The on/off button and temperature control were right where you need to keep them, so I kept turning them off during use. I already had a 2" Andis so I settled on the 1" and I love it. The temperature control and on/off switch are on the side, so they cannot be turned off or the temperature changed during use. The lock works well too, keeping it closed so it doesn't break. I would definitely recommend and buy again.
