I read some reviews about the key not fitting or the sides not closing completely and at first I had the same problems but keep going because it works! First, just in case you don't get it (we haven't had it in a while), slide the long, narrow part of the key down through the wide top of the plastic holder. I spent a lot of time designing the top of the key to fit the top of the key holder like a factory. If you put a metal key in it, the holes will match. If you feel the sides don't go together well, just keep trying. It took a while, but it finally clicked in the end. I never write reviews but thought it might be helpful. :)
