I wonder how many of these negative reviewers actually used this bike or are just repeating the old urban legends that have been floating around about metal wheels for the last few years? These wheels are comfortable for the hamster as they are covered with soft plastic. They're meshes, not grooved bars like those from the '60s and '70s. I have two robo hamsters and a russian dwarf and they have all been using these wheels for a year and there have been no bloody paws, no broken fingers, nothing. The wheel is quiet and better than a quiet spinner. If it squeaks, brush it with vegetable or olive oil and it will stop. It's so hard for me to understand why people would take apart a product when they've clearly never used it. Bloody feet, severed toes, severed tails. Please. This lie has been around for years. Reminds me of a story about a guy who meets a pretty girl, spends the night with her, wakes up in an ice bath and no kidney HAHAHAHA. Guys, you need new material. What if their heads are cut off or the wheel suddenly spins out of control and the hamster explodes! Oh wait a minute. I better stop, I start giving them ideas. Look, the wheel is safe and sound. If your hamster is injured, check the area, it could be something else. The wheel is reasonably priced and my hamsters seem to love it and will not use a silent bait at all in the habitat. Your pet knows better than you what pleases him.
