Review on Soutache Metallic Braided Quilting Trimming by Angela Rodriguez

This gold cord soutashe has no sense of durability and is not made in the same way as the items of that name. I have some years old gold left over, it's more durable and even a bit wider. Its center groove isn't as pronounced/consistent as the old product which is why it feels so good to sew for the creative project I used it on. Now I have found that the same quality of soutache cord is no longer available as I started searching and ordered several by that name. Pretty disappointed with what I received and was able to see firsthand. (The pitfall of online shopping I don't like - I'm "old school" to see and feel most things I buy) Local sewing stores don't seem to like packaging and color options like them anymore do sell. was earlier. The older version was more woven or woven, giving it a more robust look. I'm not completely satisfied with this current version, but I'll leave it. There are also other colors available from another source that I found on the internet and bought recently. They're not the same in the way they're made, but they're a little more durable than that gold. It seems that soutache/corduroy as I have known it in the past is no longer available. I don't use it for jewelry making but wanted to use it for hand sewing etc. The bit of black I had in my sewing pieces from years past was the perfect element to outline a specific image to make it stand out in a little quilt project I did for Christmas gifts last year, so I caught on to look for more of this type of product for future use. I'm not very happy to learn that the exact same guy doesn't exist anymore.
