You can't skimp when it comes to car security features. This Federal Signal backup alarm works well for my work trucks. 97 decibels is loud enough to get people's attention in most environments. However, there are still people who don't pay attention to signalling, so you always have to double check your surroundings. This alarm was installed within a week at the time of writing this review and is holding up well to the weather and mud. .Also I wired a switch so I can turn off the alarm from the cockpit as I please. When I'm clearing residential driveways early in the winter morning, some people don't like the sound of the alarm, so I can turn it off if needed.
