I'm using it with a MacBook specifically to power a Dual Shock 4 controller for use with the Sony Playstation Remote Play app. To use Remote Play, you must connect the Double Impact Controller via a USB cable (no Bluetooth support for Remote Play). It works great, which is a good thing given Sony's dual-impact controllers are picky about microUSB cables. I also use this cable in combination with a tiny Apple Lightning to MicroUSB adapter to charge IOS devices from my MacBook power bank (which is USB-C). The MacBook's power adapter is powerful (29W) and can quickly charge an iPad or iPhone while in use. In addition to fast charging, all I need to do is take a power bank (for MacBook), this cable and the original MacBook charging cable, and I can charge my MacBook or any iOS device (but not at the same time, because there is only one USB-C -Connection).
