My old modem limited my speed to just over 100Mbps so I bought this to increase my bandwidth/download. My current downstream practically corresponds to the maximum resolution of my ISP (currently approx. 240Mbps). Installation: I had no problems installing it, but I also installed it with a new router, so I still had to do some additional setup. I unplugged my old modem, installed it with my existing coax cable, and connected it to my new router. Usage: I've been using it for about 4 months and haven't touched it since the initial installation. Slightly less important things Appearance: I think it looks pretty good. It has a simple rectangular design and if I had to put it up outdoors I probably wouldn't mind showing it off. The stand does its job well. If I had to list one negative, it would be that the stand isn't detachable, so you can't just lay it on its side or mount it to a wall or counter.
