Feedback on this product has been mixed. I was a bit skeptical at first, but bought some pens. I really wanted my FX45 to have some sort of lettering and didn't need a stick on the template just in case I had a flat tire and needed to replace or reattach the template on a new tire. Thought it would be the golden mean. As I installed the grip on my tires, I began to experience what one reviewer said about premature wear on the grips. First let me state that it is best to put grips on tires when the wheels are removed from the vehicle. This does not mean that you cannot process them. It's just easier without them and the paint is easier to apply. Also, when you're done, let the paint dry well for a day. The reason I put them on was to get good technique in case I needed to touch up the paint. I went for gold, it looks really good, has a bit of a metallic hue to it which I thought was pretty cool. The key is to hold the pen at a downward angle and gently insert it. Don't rush to apply! You will not regret it. I bought 2 pens and made all four hoops, leaving some to touch up. I will order more. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking about getting Tire Ink Penz.
