This cleaner was a really good ingredient to get my carpet back in shape after my dog made a stain. I've found that when I use it as directed in the cleaning mixture, the carpet doesn't smell bad afterwards. If your pet soils the rug with solids, this works for me with my DuPont rug. First collect the mess and throw it away. There I then applied undiluted Bioclean according to the instructions. Then I prepare 2 liters of warm water with 1/2 load of non-chlorine bleach and laundry detergent. I take a wet/dry vac (empty/clean) and, wearing gloves, pour in a small amount of water mixture, rub in with my hands, then immediately vacuum. After that I repeat it with 6 liters of warm water and wash everything off the carpet. Finally, I soak up as much water as possible for at least 10 minutes until there is no real result. I'll run a fan over this place for at least a day and let the humidity out.
