The microphone cannot be set at a specific height as the spring is too weak to keep the Hyper X Quadcast S at a usable height, but will fall off if it's too high. Adding the phone app while the phone is on also doesn't allow me to have the mic at the height where it's even useful. I personally don't use the phone app, but as a warning for people who want to test with a bad result. Also, it's a great mic-only stand.
