I haven't used the full range of sizes yet and I've mostly used it for plastic utensils without a lid. I love that I don't have to use plastic wrap or aluminum foil now. I used the large sizes on a square tub and it fitted the shape. I used one to cover a small pot with warm liquid to keep cat hair out while cleaning and I used the smallest one for the tuna can. The tuna was supposed to be in the salad later in the day, and by covering it I saved myself from messing up my plate. I didn't try to flip anything, but they adequately cover and protect the contents. My husband warmed up the container which was closed and everything was fine. They can be washed in the dishwasher, but I prefer to hand wash them because it's easier for me than hanging them on the top rack of the dishwasher.
