For my money I tried 3 different brands and designs of very similar products. My 73 year old father and I bought raw walnut planks and 3 months later we built a desk for my new home. He did most of the actual work, and I was essentially a muscle...or what came closest to a muscle. The bottom line is that my father will most likely never do anything like this again; A three-sided black walnut table that matches my walls perfectly. This desk is very personal and precious to me and I don't want to do anything to ruin it, but I also need some serious cable management and this is the best solution I've found and it works really well. The other solution is either "drilling" is not an option for me, or the brackets are very noticeable and annoying, also not an option for me. It's wonderfully discreet, not nailed to my desk, and does exactly what it says it will. To me, this type of solution is worth more than what I paid for because it serves a functional purpose but helps me protect memories and something valuable to me.
