Although I never really intended to need them, someone was riding my bike and miscalculated on a corner - in short - they saved the engine and important parts of the bike. Although the fairings were damaged, they took the brunt of the skidding and salvaged some really vital parts of the bike. I bought a second set (I only needed the right one but can't buy one side) and will be putting it back once I have the factory parts. Very happy with them! I highly recommend them.
