Review on SanDisk Cruzer Blade 8GB (5 Pack) SDCZ50-008G USB 2.0 Flash Drive - Five Pack Retail Bundle + Lanyards by Jay Mitchell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Small, light and works, but.

Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8GB USB Drive - Pack of 5 The five Sandisk discs were shipped individually in a blister with two straps. Physically, they're fairly small and light, but their body curves upwards and thickens at the back, providing a comfortable thumb grip for easy removal. That's a good thing since these drives fit pretty tightly into all USB ports I've tried them on, which isn't great. I believe the reason for this narrowness is its unusual all-plastic construction, including the USB port, which is just an extension of the case. The connector surface is lightly textured, which combined with a shell thickness greater than commonly used metal, provides a secure fit and increased friction during insertion or removal. At least there's no chance of it falling out. They also appear to be more fragile than most. They also don't have an LED to show disk activity, although that may not be necessary. Otherwise they work and have the declared performance. I didn't check the baud rate. Compact, lightweight and inexpensive storage, they are a good choice for commercial use for promotional purposes or for applications that do not require frequent insertion and ejection such as E.g. use as additional storage for docking stations, routers, NAS etc, where they can be carried in a pocket and plugged and unplugged from USB ports frequently, not much
