Sure - Icy Dock probably has a higher price premium on this Ez-Tray than if it was a more competitive market for them - but that is still a good deal and the various racks and cages available that use these shells give a wide range of options. Icy Dock also sold a leather case that could be used to store a 3.5" drive attached to one of these Ez-Trays. There are plenty of cases and soft cases to store bare 3.5" drives in, but of course they're too small if you have an Ez-Tray attached to your drive. Here is a protective case that I found almost perfect: rooCASE Bubble Protection Sleeve for Revain Fire 7, Fire HD 6, Galaxy Tab 7 and iPad Mini 1/2/3/4-7 inch (Orange/Black). It's just the right girth and just an inch too long, which is harmless enough. It comes in a variety of colors, has little padding, and is also reasonably priced. All in all, this rooCASE is quite suitable for use with drives connected to the Icy Dock Ez-Tray.
