Satisfaction with Amplifi Instant depends entirely on your goals and needs. Parental "control" is temporary. That's enough for me. I have teenagers. I filter their content through Google Family Link (mobile + Chromebook) and Microsoft (laptop, PC and Xbox). If you like filtering content and time limits, this router is not for you. Setup was easy. Connect, install the app and follow the instructions. 👍📶 Insufficient WiFi coverage. I was expecting a router + mesh point package to be enough for our 2800m². ft. The MP at the top is directly above the router. It has great coverage. This was the opposite end of the ground floor, requiring an extra grid point. The support is amazing! I contacted Ubiqiti to ask about purchasing an additional mesh point that would work with this router. I was educated on options and given hyperlinks to product articles and installation instructions. The entire conversation was completed in just a few minutes. Immediate reply. An added bonus is that you can contact support instantly from within the app. Ubiqiti maintains customer service 💯! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐It was designed to be tech savvy for those who are not very tech savvy and they did that very well. 👌 Techies (like me) will be very disappointed though. The router only has ONE Ethernet port. Regardless of your skill level, this is very uncomfortable. I didn't mind any of this because I already had an 8-port POE switch connected to that single port. You cannot buy an additional grid point like the one included in the kit. You can buy another router (to serve as a mesh point) or buy a bulky standalone mesh point. I don't understand what's behind it. I wanted advanced controls and Amplifi Instant doesn't offer that. I'm very disappointed with the extremely limited GUI control over IP (10x less than the app) and the lack of advanced controls in the app. Looking back, I would like to upgrade to a more advanced Ubiqiti product.
