Review on Dividers Organizer Adjustable Separators Expandable by Michelle Anderson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product but be careful

I think it's a good product (hence the 4 star rating). It works as advertised. Pull out the lock, pull out the extension so that the whole thing is slightly longer than the drawer, block the lock, push the extension backwards a little (it's spring-loaded, so it will be pressed against the sides of the drawer after installation). drawer) and insert into the drawer. Dead easy. HOWEVER, I would caution you against using excessive force when pushing the extension back into the baffle. As you can see in the picture, the spring loaded lever that moves when you put the extension back in is plastic. It can bend quite easily (in the thin part where the circle is) rendering the separator useless unless you take it apart completely, pry the lever back, reassemble the separator and be very careful, since the plastic is more likely to bend a second time. (The one pictured is not the one I bent, this is the model I used to repair the bent one.) For the price, I'm not necessarily expecting anything stronger than plastic, but rather a thicker lever or some other form of reinforcement (or a warning to be gentle or advice on how far to go) might be good. In general, you need to find a balance between enough strength to return the extension and strength to flex the arm. Just be aware that the force required to bend your arm may be less than you think. Overall this is a good product and I will probably buy another batch to increase the box count. But I will be more careful with them in the future.
