I bought these for my little daughter to wear as a flower girl at her wedding. They have no front and back markings and gather at the top of her foot when she's wearing dress shoes, basically where the heel would be if they were rotated the other way. But that happens no matter how you put them on. It doesn't look very good. But if a kid wears them with boots instead of shoes, you wouldn't even notice.
