As a kid one of my favorite nuisances would go to someone's house and get silver cutlery out of a drawer which was disgusting, full of the remains of who knows what, in a silver tray that was half was broken and disgusting. So when we moved in we didn't buy any of the cheaper plastic partitions. Not only are they unnecessary plastic, they don't last and don't look as pretty. This divider is perfect! We bought a five-piece set because we actively use metal straws and chopsticks, along with forks, spoons, and oilers. The compartments are huge, the metal doesn't sit in landfill for 100,000 years, it's easy to clean (just throw it in the dishwasher). It's heavy, durable and looks nice and clean.
