Review on 🔫 Jet TDC 501 Taper Mount - Model 561706 by Andy Baker

Wasn't expecting much for the price but needed a replacement chuck for my old Toro bench drill. Jet has been around for a long time and for the most part produces instruments of acceptable quality. This cartridge seems to be a good example of that. After I cleaned all the oil from the cone it was a nice and tight fit with no issues. I then sprayed the moving parts with spray oil mainly to prevent corrosion as my workshop is in a high humidity garage all summer. Works smoothly from fully open to fully closed for the smallest bits. I haven't checked it for hits, but in my old opinion it doesn't. Seems like a good guy. Only time will tell how the metal it's made of holds up to use and abuse, but so far I'm happy with it.
